Originally from California, James worked in the addiction treatment field for many years following his educational pursuits. James worked at several well know agencies around California; The Etowah Program, Crossroads Program of Eureka and Care Unit of California. After moving to Florida James continued to work in the health care field. In 1993 James opened Genesis House Inc. in Palm Beach County. The agency has grown into a well respected provider of addiction and dual diagnosis treatment. James has personally been in recovery since 1980.
George Briggs is currently the Director of Residential Program at Genesis House and oversees daily intakes, operations, and insurance approvals for the agency. George has been involved with program development and is a vital employee of Genesis House. George has an extensive background in Engineering and has been in recovery for the past ten years. Commonly known by his nick
name Rusty, he has completely upgraded the intake department at Genesis House so that admissions run more smoothly and professionally. He plays a vital role in making sure Genesis House is as successful as it is today.
Anita Amundaray has been working for Genesis House Inc. for the past fourteen years. She is one of the Directors at the facility and the Quality Assurance Specialist for the agency. Anita has helped to develop Genesis policy and procedures, implement DCF mandates and oversees quality of care at Genesis. She has helped create the programs still in implemetation today. Anita believes in maintaining a respectfull, loving enviorment for the patients at Genesis House. She is presently working on her Masters Degree in Psychology at South University.
Erica is originally from Central New Jersey. She is a long term employee of Genesis House. Her core functions include crisis intervention, admissions, coordinating psychiatric / medical care and responsible for other day to day operations. She has a deep knowledge of the 12 step recovery process. Erica has many years of hands on experience and is an asset to our interdisciplinary team.
