We determine your individual needs during the intake process, then work very hard to serve them accordingly.
When a person arrives at our drug and alcohol detox program, he or she is greeted by skilled and compassionate professionals who will help begin the admissions process. The first step in this process is to conduct an initial intake; which is performed by a medical professional.
The intake assessment helps both the medical and clinical teams understand exactly which detox services the client needs most. Since the detox process is a vital step in early recovery, it is critical that both addicts and alcoholics receive the most personalized treatment available.
We’re here for your first steps, and we’ll be there every other step of the way.

Our Programs
Detox is the first step for many when it comes to getting clean. If you are struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, then you know just how difficult it is to stop using once you are hooked. Thankfully, there are resources available that can help you safely and successfully complete a detox program.
Genesis House is prepared to help you get through this difficult step in the recovery process with the support of our ambulatory drug and alcohol detox programs. While in our hands, you can rest assured that you are receiving the best care possible.
A private campus designed to help you recover and grow.
Drug detox program
Our ambulatory drug detox program focuses on helping people with substance use disorder stop their cyclical and deadly abuse of addictive drugs like opioids, cocaine, and meth. Many of those who come to us for help have made attempts to detox before, but have had little to no success in doing it sustainably. It is more common than not for drug addicts to require professional drug and alcohol detox services to end their active addiction entirely, as the cravings and withdrawal symptoms that come with the process of detoxing can be too much to bear without the help of a supervised detox program.
At Genesis House, we do everything we can to ensure that all clients in our ambulatory detox program are made as comfortable as possible as soon as they are admitted. Since withdrawal symptoms typically set in within a matter of hours for some drug users, we are prepared to help all clients through the symptoms they experience as soon as they begin. Our medical professionals are ready and able to provide over-the-counter or FDA-approved medications to address symptoms related to drug withdrawal such as headache, muscle pains, and upset stomach. Depending on the type of drug a client is addicted to, stronger prescription medications may be used in ambulatory, medically-assisted treatment. This includes the use of Suboxone for those dependent on opioids or a mild benzodiazepine taper for those addicted to Ativan, Xanax, and other benzos. When an individual has successfully cleared drugs out of his or her system, he or she can transition into the next stage of addiction treatment.
Alcohol detox program
In many respects, detox is uncomfortable no matter what type of substance is being abused. However, detoxing from alcohol produces effects that, if not professionally addressed, have the potential to be deadly. At Genesis House, we are aware of just how serious alcohol detox is so we work hard to ensure that each and every client of ours is safe and comfortable. Using our initial assessment of the client, we will determine how severe his or her alcoholism is, allowing us to be prepared with the appropriate level of treatment.
People who are in an alcohol detox center may experience withdrawal symptoms ranging from minor headaches to severe life-threatening seizures and other complications. While detoxing from alcohol, people may experience a variety of symptoms depending on the severity of their drinking.
During alcohol detox, clients may experience gastrointestinal problems such as vomiting and diarrhea, headaches, and irritability. More severe alcohol withdrawal symptoms include high blood pressure, seizures, and a fast heart rate. Delirium tremens, in particular, are some of the most serious of all alcohol withdrawal symptoms as they lead to hallucinations, tremors, and confusion.
At Genesis House, we offer top-of-the-line medical care for all clients in our alcohol detox program to prevent any of these dangerous withdrawal symptoms from becoming severe. Like drug detox, clients who undergo alcohol detox benefit from over-the-counter medications that help calm withdrawal symptoms and provide added comfort. With the supervision and care we provide at Genesis House, our detox clients quickly move into the next phase of their treatment once they have fully cleared their systems of alcohol.
