Primary Therapist
Michael Mandragona serves as a Primary Therapist at our facility, where he plays a vital role in helping individuals achieve lasting sobriety, emotional stability, and mental wellness.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Iona College, where he focused on social issues and criminal justice reform. Michael brings over five years of experience in the behavioral health field, working with diverse populations to support individuals facing a broad range of substance use and mental health challenges.
A proud URP alumnus, Michael began his professional journey at URP as an administrative assistant. Through determination and passion for helping others, he advanced to the roles of Behavioral Health Technician and Case Manager. After earning his Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) and International Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ICADC) credentials, he now serves as a Primary Therapist. Michael is currently pursuing his Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) credential, reflecting his dedication to continuous professional growth and personal development.
His compassionate approach and ability to create a safe, judgment-free space for clients along with commitment to foster positive change and continuous growth makes him an invaluable member of our team.
